Central Academy’s curriculum will be sufficiently broad to allow students the opportunity to study a range of subjects including: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Arabic Language, Science, Social Studies, PE, Technology, Art and Music.

About Our Principal

Mr. Sejad Melkic, Principal

Mr. Sejad Melkic earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Wayne State University. He joined the Global Educational Excellence as a full time Mathematics teacher in 2013. He earned a Masters of Arts degree in educational leadership (K-12 Administration) from Eastern Michigan University in 2020. Mr. Melkic’s experience in administration includes roles of Assistant Principal at Frontier International Academy and Interim Principal at Riverside Academy West.

Mr. Melkic is a leader with a mission who always strives to build upon and refine his proven foundation of dynamic leadership. During his leadership journey, he has been known to build a positive culture around the school community and ensure equitable access to resources for all the students and staff. His leadership skills and positive character allowed him to always dominate and connect with all stakeholders. 

About Our K-5 Principal

Nahla Attar, Principal

Mrs. Attar has been part of the Central family for the past fourteen years. She started as
a 3rd-grade teacher, and before that, she taught 2nd-grade for four years. She has been
in the field of education for more than nineteen years. She graduated from
The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Master’s degree in Education and a
Certificate in Elementary Education. In addition, she received her certification in
administration and became the administrator for the elementary building for eight years.
This past year, she got promoted to a new role as the K-5 principal. She is honored to
continue leading and serving the community of Central Academy.
Mrs. Attar is committed to doing her best to ensure that each student has a motivating and
safe learning experience at school. She also believes that good communication
between the school and parents is essential for a student's success, and she
encourages all parents to be involved in their child’s education.
